How to address the threat of school shootings

The Gun Control Herd is once again taking advantage of the recent Florida school shooting tragedy to drum up support to dilute further the civil liberties of the American People under the 2nd Amendment. But as the above chart shows, the Top 5 Mass Shootings in history did not even happen in the US of A. They all happened in Gun Control States. So if the naive will just follow the cue of the Gun Control Herd, Americans will end up losing their civil liberties under the 2nd Amendment for practically nothing. Or as Ben Franklin once famously said, they will end up "neither Free nor Secure".

So what is the best solution to these mass school shootings?

The answer is quite obvious. What do we do to secure airports and civilian federal facilities?

There is a reason why there have been very few mass shootings in airports and civilian federal facilities. Let me enumerate their basic security measures:

1. Restricted and hardened points of entry

2. Metal detectors

3. Bomb-sniffing canines

4. Guards equipped with superior firepower

5. Active monitoring of potential threats

6. Timely dissemination of potential threats

7. Timely investigation of potential threats

So before we tinker with the 2nd Amendment in response to a school mass shooting, we should evaluate first the security measures that the school had in place.

As long as we will not put the same value on our schoolchildren as our air travellers and civilian federal employees, we are just beating around the bush.
